A first glimpse of moving Cha and Matt!!!
The first 8 secs show Donny Pangilinan with all his appeal in slow mo seemingly going to meet a lady-Belle Mariano as Cha who looks pretty and who looks definitely charmed. And with a blink of an eye, the view shifts to Matt handing over the flowers to another girl and even greeting her (Kira Bilanger) sweetly with “Happy Anniversary, Love!”
And Cha who would not stand for it because her surge of anticipation to what could have been a blind date ended the sweet moment between the couple by slapping Donny. This reminds me of how the early meetings between Deib and Max happened. Apparently, Matt and Cha are in the talking stage, and our brave girl has proof. While Matt accuses the account of being run by a poser, Kira’s character, Kristine hits him with the bouquet. The bright spot here is that in normal scenes, Kristine would have slapped Cha or pulled her hair. Here, her anger is on his man. There are some questions, though, why would Kristine trust Cha when she barely knows her and choose to think that Matt did cheat? Did Matt have a history of lying to Kristine that it was easy for her to believe Cha? We’ll know by November 25.
If Matt is, indeed, telling the truth that he is not the one who is on talking stage with Cha, then who is it? Is JR (Jameson Blake) pulling a prank on Matt? Does he simply have a grudge on Matt that he staged everything to mess up the latter's life? Is he in love with Cha and can't say anything and can't man up to pursue this beautiful barista?
Cha cheered Kristine on for her actions and told Matt “Deserved!” This one word reminds me of the famous “Dasurv!” from An Inconvenient Love being a part of the tagline of the convenience store that Ayef works for.
The next scene shows Matt approaching Cha in what presumably is outside her workplace. He apologized and asked for one more chance. The mystery here is what is the one chance for. Why does he want one? Did Kristine close all lines and the possibility of reconciliation that he went to the next girl whom he knows had a teeny bit of interest in him albeit his online persona? Or did Matt just want to settle a score? Cha was the cause of the end of his relationship with Kristine- a comeuppance could be on his mind.
But Cha despite that Yes-No scene has a soft spot for good looking guys no matter what flags they raise. We see a series of activities that they could have done from surfing together, to having tied their legs for what looks like a three-legged game. Eating fish balls, falling on top of each other (we did see them in a similar position in He’s Into Her, but Donny was the one on his back.) This one adds to the feels as the beach intensifies the scene not to mention that they are in beach attire.)
And all of 1min and 7 seconds has given us a lot to look forward to that Nov 25 can’t come fast enough. This time we can be laughing and smiling for DonBelle’s How to Spot a Red Flag.
