Donny’s Life on Sweet Rewind

How many of you can have a redo of momentous events in their lives? Well, in this life, there is no rewind nor replay, but not for Donny Pangilinan. He is so blessed, but can we say twice blessed in the following instances?

1. Going back to the Halls of High School

It is a well-known fact that Donny went to Brent International School for his secondary education. What luck that Donny gets to be a high schooler right in the same campus he used to frolic as a teen when he seriously started entertaining thoughts of becoming a celebrity. It is a well-known fact that “He’s Into Her “ was shot in the halls of Brent International School. The scenes in Benison International School were actually in this campus in Laguna. In fact, Donny did say that his locker as a student was in the area where they shot that almost kiss. He also got a kick out of running around the oval with some cast mates in a mini-race during some shooting down time. Donny got to relive being in high school in the exact same place where he originally went. It probably felt nostalgic and wonderful at the same time.

2. Prom King

Imagine a redo of prom? Who gets to do that? Well, Donny Pangilinan just did and with aplomb! His high school prom was held in the exact same ballroom as the Star Magical Prom. This time, he gets to bring Belle Mariano for a prom date. I wonder if there is any difference in the experience now. This do over is something some of us can only dream of as the prom can be exciting and nerve wracking at the same time since this is the first time one gets all glammed up and for some, it could be their first slow dance. But for Donny, another chance at prom is simply just twice the fun. This time he gets to attend with Belle and his young Star Magic family.

There are other things in Donny’s life that make us see that he is twice blessed. Coincidence or blessings? I say it is just life being sweet to Donny Pangilinan. To have to do high school once is already fun and prom can already be memorable even for just once, but a redo is twice the fun.
