Belle Mariano is definitely Gen Z- Approved. Let me count the ways!

If there is one star that is making headlines and heads turn, it is definitely Belle Mariano. Let us try to figure out why this is so.

1.       Belle Mariano is award-winning. Her performance in "He’s Into Her Season 1" was noticed and she was chosen as the Philippine rep for Asian Academy Creative Awards. She did not bag the Asian levels in 2021, but it is no small feat to be besting the whole country somehow on her first lead role. She has also been the first Filipina recipient of the Seoul International Drama Awards 2022. She has been vetted as a nominee by a jury coming from different parts of the globe who are experts in their own right. The dedication of the fans to get her that top plum is icing on the cake. These are just two of the trophies that are on her shelf. She has also crossed over from acting to the music industry. She brought home two awards in the recently concluded Awit Awards. She was acknowledged as the Breakthrough Artist. “Sigurado” is named as Favorite Song! Truly, not too many artists can be this multi-awarded and in different fields. Not to mention, she was also ½ of the German Moreno Power Tandem recipient at the 25th PMPC Star Awards.





2.       Belle Mariano is the face of a lot of big products. From products she co-endorses with love team, Donny Pangilinan like Cornetto, Close Up and Smart, Dunkin’ Donut, and Pepsi, she also is brand ambassadress for Shein, Ponds, Safeguard, Ph Care, Artisan False Eye Lashes, Met Thatione, Samsung, Asus, and has brand partnerships with Maybelline, Nutri Boost, Ikea, McDonalds, Whisper, Biogesic, Shopee, Daniel Wellington, Lady’s Choice, Conti’s. A lot of the Bubblies and Solids have shifted brand loyalties because of their support for her. If that is not a sign of approval, I wonder what could that be. 




3.       Belle is a series leading lady. Co-headlining a TV series and its second season, is no mean feat.  She did just that alongside Donny after their mother network did not have its franchise nor free TV telecast. It has often been said that their success has paved the way for other shows to be done and aired in various platforms.


4.        Belle is a recording artist. Her debut album, Daylight, has been widely streamed in both YouTube and Spotify. Her sweet voice is simply something refreshing and relaxing. The concert for this album was also well-attended online. If the second album that is forthcoming is any indication, surely, Belle made her mark in the music industry that a first album is not enough, or that a second album is in the works in less than two years. A feat in itself if you think about it. 



Side Note: Belle's Daylight Album was officially released on December 3, 2021. The hints of a second album was on January 16, 2023. Technically, it took one year and a month to launch a second one. 

5.       Belle is a cover girl. She is not only gracing the TV or movie screens, her face is also on front pages of different magazines. From Metro Mag featuring Belle and Donny for He’s Into Her Season 1 to another one in 2022, she has since had so many others from Mega Magazine with other Star Magic artists to Cover Girl of Preview in September of 2022 to the Fanzine of Nylon. Hers is the face that is widely seen, recognized, and liked.





6.       Belle is a movie star. From DonBelle’s first film, "Love is Color Blind", the highest grossing film of 2021 to the return of Star Cinema in the theatres through "An Inconvenient Love", Belle is truly winning it. Truly, a Gen-Z fave if ever there is one.



At the tender age of 20 and since being launched as a lead star of barely three years, Belle has many achievements already, some of which are not even mentioned here. We have barely scratched the surface, yet we know and overwhelmingly so, that she is definitely a Gen Z-Approved celebrity! So cast your votes now, Bubblies and Solids. Belle deserves Gen Z-Approved Celebrity. Because all the achievements and accolades point to her being so. Let us do a back-to-back then! And if by some happenstance, it does not go this way, you know the truth.
