Some Clues about An Inconvenient Love

Since, Donny and Belle have been actively doing the rounds of interviews for “An Inconvenient Love” promo and there are some for the other characters, too, we picked up some bits and pieces of what to expect through the interviews which might help you prepare for the things you need when you watch the movie.

1. A tear jerker?

It is a RomCom, right? Donny keeps on saying that this is one, so does the Director, Petersen Vargas, and RomCom is a combination of two words, romantic and comedy. Wait, there is a caveat. Belle did say in an interview with Manny the Movie Guy that when she was reading the script, she was already crying for the character she was about to play. Another tidbit is when Krissy Achino who plays  Ben 1, mentioned that there is a scene in Ayef’s house where it will involve some crying. Not to mention the pictures with messages being posted recently from the director of the  movie and the lead stars,  I guess there will be some parts where tears will definitely fall.

2. Manny is a “tambay”  in the convenience store?

In answering the game “who’s most likely to,” JC and Max agreed that it would be Donny and the write-up by Star-Cinema says that it is like his character in the movie. So, Manny frequents the convenience store and stays for extended periods of time especially at night. Is it because he has a crush on Ayef and wants to see her? Courting her? Is quality time his character’s love language?

3. Dobs role in the relationship

JC who plays the role says that in the movie, he used to ignore Ayef until in the end, he suddenly notices her. That is a significant tidbit as it seems to show that he has slowly trusted Ayef. Since the brothers are close, it would seem that warming up to Ayef is important to Manny. That Dobs warms up to Belle’s character is the biggest indicator of the growing relationship between the two, and can signify the acceptance of the family, too.

4. No Audition?

Belle mentioned in the same interview with Manny The Movie Guy that they did not have to audition for this role. When the script was being written, it was with them in mind. In this regard, that means it took into consideration their acting range, their abilities, and their packaging. This movie is for them. It is tailor-made and like clothes that are customized for a person instead of being off the rack, it fits well.

5. Visually Different?

Donny mentions that he is excited because the movie is visually different, and we get to wonder how this is so. Could it be that part of the story will be presented through Ayef’s animation? Can it be that Ayef will put together a project with their story lines and it will be used in some scenes?

Whatever we will see on Nov. 23, it will definitely be a blast. Do we expect anything less from Star Cinema’s comeback movie?
