Why We Love Belle's SDA Awards Vlog?

Belle lets us in on her experience at the recently concluded SDA 2022 Awards thru her vlog. We are happy for this milestone, and we are so happy that she shares not just the awards but what went through as she tries to raise the flag in a foreign country without familiar Filipino faces and her family to cheer for her. Here once again are more things to love about Belle Mariano.

Prayerful Girl

We see her a bit tense. Who would not be if you are accepting an award for the first time in a foreign land, and without most of the people you love the most? As she feels the tension, she tries to hold herself together by praying. Asking for God’s love and assurance as she feels the nerves.

The Real Trooper

An almost wardrobe

malfunction being held together by bobby pins, those that are for holding the hair and not clothes, and yet you can never tell by the way she worked the red carpet and received her award. It is as if nothing was amiss, and everything was a-okay. Add to the fact that as Mr. Mico del Rosario said, Belle did her own make-up in the absence of Mama Jake because of visa problems. Belle is someone who just does what has to be done, and with no diva attitude.

Phoning Home

It looks like some time before the awards show, Belle tries to keep it together by talking to her mom on the phone. We all have that comfort person - the one we run to for problems. The one who will provide us with a certain sense of stability when we find ourselves with unsettling situations or if we just want to share how we feel. Usually, moms are the go-to persons for this. 

We also wondered who are the other persons in Belle’s speed dial. 

The Perfect Time Manager

While waiting for the flight, she made sure to be productive by starting to put together the speech and in her own handwriting at that! She probably has mastered time management as she has been a child star by age ten, and when you have to juggle a lot of activities from acting to studying to also bonding with family and friends, you get to be a master at it. Probably that is also the reason why she was able to devote her time to a lot of things. She has been able to learn sports and playing the guitar.

Belle the conversationalists

Belle was conversing with the interpreter on their way to the hotel. As we hear snippets of what they were talking about, we witness Belle who spontaneously struck a convo with the interpreter they just met.

 

Vulnerable Self

Among all the times we see Belle, this is probably one of the few ones she has shown a vulnerable side. Often times, she looks so put together, and she seems to know just what to do and what to say. We are beyond thankful that she lets us in on this experience even if we see her not as poised, not as confident. We are grateful that she lets us in to this precious experience. Maybe this was shown first side from the other content that is already in the line up because this has the most impact to her as of the moment, and she wants to share it with us all as she goes though the exhilarating feels of being the first Filipina SDA awardee.
