And more casts have been revealed for “An Inconvenient Love” Who are they, and how will they contribute to the story of Ayef and Manny?
Ayef’s Fam:
Ayef’s
family might be the supplier of the comedy along with the staff of 24ever
convenience store. Matet de Leon and Epi Quizon could easily pull off funny
scenes, but make no mistake about it, they can also pull at the heartstrings if
needed. There is one hint, though, as the reveal asks a question of whether or
not she has parental support for her quest of going to Singapore for an
internship. If there is none, is that why she has to work? If her parents are
not for her decision, it might be coming from a good place still because animation
is not your traditional type of profession especially when one parent is a
struggling artist, and it is hard to see a child off to a faraway place. Matet
and Epi will play Terry and Filemon, respectfully.
Does she
have siblings? For now, though, there are other actors and actresses named in
the article, their roles have not been identified, yet. It is safe to say that
the siblings are not yet revealed to the public.
Manny
and his dysfunctional Family:
Manny’s
fam looks like they will pack a bit of the drama, as his dad to be played by
Tirso Cruz III, is separated from his mom to be portrayed by Teresa Loyzaga.
His dad also remarried, and may or may not have kids in the second family. If
that is not a situation that screams complications, I don’t know what would.
Most roles played by Tirso Cruz III is that with a strong personality. Will
Manny always have run-ins with his father, Wilfredo Siena? Will his father
always entreat him to work for the family business because it will eventually
be his, anyway and because he is, by virtue of having a brother with autism
spectrum might be, considered the only one in the family to carry the torch?
His father might not be happy with his current choice of career as he seemed to
have favored his passion over the family’s legacy. For sure, a blow up might
happen when the Senior Mr. Sienna discovers that not only does Junior Mr. Siena
not want to be a part of the family business, he also sides with the workers of
the corporation at night.
Ms.
Teresa Loyzaga is often cast as a villain in most movies or series. Now, I
wonder what type of wife is she as Meryl. (Btw, she shares the same initial
letter as Manny’s name.)What type of mother could she be? Is she the supportive
wife and caring mother or a socialite who would rather go to soirees and in the
process, neglecting the family? What
happened to her after the split? Was she able to pull herself together or has
she become bitter or an alcoholic perhaps? Or could she have been able to put
differences aside to help provide a harmonious blended family?
How is
Lara Quigaman as a step-mom? Her roles are often that of the goody two-shoes.
Can you picture her as an evil step mom? Will she be the openly mean conniving
type? Will she be a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Could she get along with her
husband’s son who has autism spectrum? Would she get along with Wilfredo Siena’s
three kids, in general, who might be in the same age group as she is?
Manny’s
siblings are already introduced. Maxene Magalona plays his sister. Similar, to
Teresa Loyzaga, Maxene is often a villain in most of her shows. Would she be
the overbearing sister who sides with their father for the comforts it brings? Will
this Manolo Blahnik wearing Viviana look down on Ayef who is a convenience
store crew?
And how
does JC Alcantara’s character, Dods, fit in the picture? Since he is differently-abled
and a part of what seems to be a well-off family, how do they treat him? Some
families would be ashamed to show him in public or acknowledge that he exists.
Could it be that Manny is the only one who feels protective towards his bro
because all the other family members don’t care? Or could everyone be
protective of Dods? In the previous press release, it mentions that Manny is
the glue keeping the family together, and the question is how. How does he keep
everyone together while going against his father with the workers in Siena
Company?
Is the
break-up of his parents’ marriage, the one that will lead him to be cynical
about love and be up for a contractual fling? Are his parents the cause of the
trauma for Manny Siena? Is he amenable to a contractual fling to escape the
heaviness of his family situation? Could he just want to have a reprieve from
the heaviness of his responsibilities?
Other Casts:
Other
actors were mentioned, but there were no clues as to what their roles will be
except for a policeman played by Nicco Manalo. Why is there a need for one?
What role will he play in the overall story, or how pivotal is he in the
budding romance of Ayef and Manny? Another one will be the professor to be played
by Dwein Baltazar who has been instrumental in Ayef’s belief that love is inconvenient.
Could it be possible that the prof recommended her for the internship and is
adamant that she focuses on the goal and coaching her on what to do especially
cautioning her to keep the eyes on the prize?
It would
really be lovely to know the dynamics of Manny and Ayef with their fam and the
rest of the village that will witness their love story.
Bubblies
and solids are abuzz with the cast reveal and happily anticipating the
wonderful world of Ayef and Manny. Make sure to get ready, guys. An
Inconvenient Love will be showing on Nov 23 to theatres near you… Looking
