Belle’s Close Up:
Now, we know that Belle works for the convenience store
as the pic shows her in a vest with name plate, and a sun visor. All we can say
is, she looks colorful. Not only is her work uniform vibrant, but also her eye
make-up with pink and green and her beaded necklace. Wonder if the beaded
necklace has some significance in her life, or is it just her style. I wonder
if this is a keepsake from someone special or probably part of her hobby or
something to show her sense of style or the time frame when the scene happened.
Donny’s Close Up:
No matter where Donny enters-any room or place, he will
surely make heads turn, what with his above average height and his good looks.
His outfit is a contrast from Belle. He is wearing neutrals- a white polo,
a far cry from the hues in Belle’s uniform, make-up and accessories. Our first
impression of a person wearing eye glasses is that they are nerds, bookworms,
the grade-conscious and then, organized fellow in every classroom. Will he be a
customer? Will he be looking for a sideline in the store, too? Does this mean
Donny is not the athletic type in this movie? Well, we can’t judge the book by
its cover.
The Round-up
The director, Peterson Vargas, posted the pics and captioned it with boy meets girl. So the two pics released are from the scenes of their first meeting. The proverbial “meet cute” in Hollywood movies. Judging from the look on Belle’s eyes and the soft expression on her face, he caught her eye. There seems to be some sort of recognition. Could she have known him from afar? Is he some sort of a campus figure she harbors a crush on for the longest time? If this is the meet-cute, (comma) what banter ensued after the first eye-to-eye. (question mark) Since the director says he is working on a romcom (without saying which one), we assume that An Inconvenient Love it is, and this is probably why it is safe to say this scene might be kilig and hilarious at the same time. Who will have a blooper? What are the first things they say to each other? Why will this be memorable? So many questions. Oh, can’t wait!
As we have mentioned a while ago, Donny and Belle don
contrasting outfits. It is probably a sign of the disparity in their taste and
behavior. Will there be a clash in personalities, but still, like magnets,
opposite attracting each other?
And it seems to be just an ordinary day when two people
find each other. No parties, no glam looks, just two people going about their
daily lives- one working and the other on the way to somewhere stopping by for
a quick munch or to get some supplies he has forgotten. There was no intention
of finding someone who can change his or her life forever. You truly never can
tell how a day will turn out.
Looking Forward:
Like any new projects, the excitement is brought about by
different aspects of a movie. Some are excited to know who are the new artists working
with them in this new movie. Bubblies and Solids who see someone seemingly
working on a set is suspect or anyone who followed Donny or Belle or both is
also on the list. We can go all crazies for stuff like this, sometimes.
Of course, everyone wants to know how the story unfolds.
What are the characters really like? What are the things that will make it
difficult or easy for them to fall in love? What learnings will be uncovered in
this movie? What challenges will be hurdled and how? How will the happy ending
happen? Of course, so many questions but the answers will all be revealed in
November.
I, for one, am excited about the theme song. Will it be
especially made for the movie? Will it be one of Belinda’s songs from her album
like “For Your Eyes Only” for “Love is Color Blind”? Whatever it will be, trust
that it will be the new LSS of the season.
On a Final Note:
More and more will be revealed on the coming days.
Bubblies and Solids are definitely anticipating this moments and the movie even
more. It promises to be special as it is the comeback movie of Star Cinema to
the big screens. It is special, too, as the first movie of DonBelle to be shown
in the big screen. We hope we all get to the cinemas for this.
