The ExHIHlarating Night That Was - HIH All Access Concert

There has been a lot of posts about the HIH Concert, and everyone has pointed their favorite part or parts of the show. There has been a lot of trepidation going into this Concert. A lot of things happened coming into this event, some heartbreaks, and fear, too. But all that is behind us as Donny and Belle regaled us with their talent and their hard work. Here are noteworthy things from yesterday:

1. The Show Must Go on:
   The real trooper and professional that she is was shown yesterday. We know tales of her being on time and prepared for work when she shows up per Direk Kathy, but yesterday, Donny revealed on stage that Belle is under the weather the previous night. In an after-the-concert interview, he further added that they did not know if Belle can do all the prods or if they need to cut down some of them, but Belle did not only show up, she did all the prods she was scheduled to do and with aplomb. Not once, did anyone notice that something was amiss or that she was not feeling well. You know, you just know, that there is so much love for her craft and the audience who came from different parts of the world, even, just to hear her sing, watch her dance, and witness them on the Araneta stage.
   
   This reminds me of one of Michael Jordan's last championship games when he played through a fever, not showing any weakness on the court, but looking expended and can barely stand when time out is called. Goat things, Belle Mariano. And it is not just what they do that solidifies their position in their given field. It is how they do it that endears them further to the hearts and souls of followers.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Little Time, Still Sublime:
   Some people (not sure if they were Bubblies) who did wonder if they were practicing already in the previous weeks. They felt scared for how it will turn out if there is only a few days of practice because Donny and Belle had been on the Star Magic tour. This show, though, proves that they can work efficiently and smartly. They can execute their prods even if there is limited time to learn and practice them. It is so maybe because they are truly talented individuals, not to mention they are focused when they are at work.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Something New:
   I like how there is always something new to witness from both Donny and Belle when they do shows. Remember how they conceptualized a piano performance and duet of FYEO for Belle’s Daylight concert? They’ve danced before on the ASAP stage, the Benison Ball and even slowed dance, but this time a lyrical prod. Again, they are showcasing how talented they are. Moreso, they are showing that they are not afraid to try something new to surprise the supporters and show their hard work. Plunging into some new territories each and every time always makes our heart race. Just when we thought we’ve seen them do it all, they still have more to offer that showcases their talent and kiligity vibes.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Stars All:
   Undoubtedly, Donny and Belle, are the brightest stars of their generation. A hit series and a movie, and all the others in-between have shown this. All there are a given. They are acknowledged as the prime shakers and movers of the industry. The revelation, though, is that the Bubblies are stars in their own right. They have shown their support multiple times, but in the concert, they showed up and showed up they did with all the power they can muster. Nothing was spared. Fangirling essentials were on full display. Lightsticks, led and neon signs, sintra boards, tarps, headbands, and shirts. We are proud of Donny and Belle mounting a big show like that, but we should also take time to be proud of ourselves. My eyes and my cam had been on Donny and Belle most of the time that I did not notice just how eye-catching the lightsticks and the led lights look from the stage, and it all glows for Donny and Belle. While Donny and Belle have given their best for the fandom to be happy, the Bubblies and the Solids, have come prepared to show their love and support and may I say, probably the fans of Donny and Belle are the star fandom for these past years to the present.
   It is such a pity that some Bubblies could not make it to the Big Dome due to several reasons. Some even have tickets already, but had to pass because of certain considerations ranging from parental consent to work schedules. Thank God for KTX that actually stopped selling tickets by 6:29, an hour or so of their originally announced closing time for the event. Wonder how many availed of the chance to watch online.
   
   
5. Class Act:
   Another credit is due for Bubblies and Solids. They cheered for Donny and Belle with all their lungs and all their hearts. They also did show appreciation for people who are seen with Donny and Belle like Joao and Gello during their prod. These two are talented, one a consummate dancer, the other a really good vocalist. They also gave warm applause for people behind the scenes knowing that these people have believed in Donny and Belle from day 1. They have been supportive that Ate Keia, Direk Chad, and author, Max Lat received large applause.
   
   
6. Inner Circle:
   The two are well-loved by fans. It is also nice to see how they enjoy the support of their family and friends. They have come in full force, and we know that it is a big deal for both that those in their circle have taken the time to be there with them. Sightings of the Pangilinan fam, the Mariano fam, Esnyr, Robi Domingo, Belle’s girl squad. You know that last night was special and their inner circle made sure they are in attendance.
   
   
   
   
   

   We all enjoyed the show whether online or inside the coliseum. It was a good night to celebrate HIH, DonBelle, and the Bubblies. Here’s to all of us.
