I know that
for the first time, our Wed habit is done. No more new episode to look forward
to weekly. No matter how we felt the whole theme park every Wed, with each and
every episode showcasing both kilig and some blood-boiling scenes, it is
something we got used to for 16 Wednesdays. You know that the show just has
that power to affect us so. So today, let us launch the Sepanx Wednesday. Let
us feature stuff about He’s Into Her to help comfort us in this Sepanx.
What will
we miss? Here are some:
We will
miss seeing fresh episodes showcasing Donny and Belle’s ever impressive
talents. No matter how the scenes make us feel from infuriated to really kilig.
The thing is it can only do that because they have been able to pull it off. If
we can feel bothered and overjoyed, that is because the scenes are properly
executed and I think judging from the weekly tirades and sometimes adulation
from us, fans, the acting of most of the supporting casts and the main
protagonists has been quite on point that it can stir us.
We’ll miss
wondering what would happen and how it will unfold. When the teasers are released,
don’t we just ask ourselves all those questions? Upon seeing some heavy scenes
in the teasers, we end up overthinking the scenes as the breakup one. We have subjected
ourselves to anticipating what could have been hours, even days before
Wednesday. Sometimes, we get what we think will happen. Most times, we missed
the mark. The teasers are a class act of its own that we can hardly tell what is
gonna happen next, and most of what we think will happen, will turn out to be
the opposite, or at least not yet.
We will
miss the kilig scenes, of course. No matter how much they are feuding or
forbidden to see each other, there will always be a kilig scene that sweeps us
off our feet. Case in point is the rain scene. We can see just how hurt Deib
and Max are. Both are at the end of each other’s rope, trying to make sense of
how such a thing can happen to them. How can something so huge divide them just
when they have found each other, but Deib cannot leave Max alone to be soaked
in the raging rains despite the hurt he is feeling. He can set it aside for his
love for Max. Didn’t we all gasp in kilig upon seeing Deib holding out an
umbrella for Max? Never mind that there are no actual kissing scenes. Donny and
Belle did not need to do lip-lock to thrill us. The force is just so strong on
those two that they can just sit down and we all will swoon. The creators of
this series totally lucked out on these two when they were chosen.
I know He’s Into Her Season 2 has evoked mixed emotions, from glee to outright hate, but you can’t deny that it has filled our lives with everything we didn’t know we can actually feel just by watching a show. We were that invested in this series. I will forever be thankful about He’s Into Her and the people behind the scenes because it has brought these two people together, ergo it brought some of us together. The happy place that Donny and Belle has is a gift. Friendships forged from these fandom are just as precious.
