That Belle Mariano Photoshoot & Then Some Donny's

We wondered and wondered about what the photo shoot with Shaira Luna was all about. Is it for a product endorsement? We all saw the glam team with Belle’s Mom and Ms Shaira Luna on posts dating back to May 8, two days and a month ago from Belle’s 20^th birthday. Some tweets hinted at a 20^th birthday photoshoot. Some say it is for a Vlog. Others guess that it is for Sunsilk since Belle has a photo with Shaira wearing a green dress and that is the shampoo variant that she endorses for the brand.

The hint came when she posted Insta reels entitled “Belle and Beyond.” What took us by surprise was we did not know that it will be black and white themed since we did not have a clue as to the concept and even thought it would be whimsical and colorful. But, there is something about black and white that brings out all the feels especially since black is Donny’s favorite color while white is Belle’s.

The glam team went all out. The hair and the make-up were all on point. The hair has its own life, and the color from the make-up was enough to balance the muteness of her clothes. The outfits were also not to be toyed around; they are designer pieces with hefty price tags. Mama Jake, her make-up artist, has this video documentation of Belle's photoshoot.

While we normally see her with sweet outfits and looks, this photoshoot brings to mind so many things. One, this seems to be her way of telling everyone that she is a young lady. She is preparing people not just for more daring looks, but also more matured roles, those that might even be darker and edgier. What are the next projects lined up for her? Will it be a departure from what we are used to seeing? Secondly, she does look good in anything. She does not need all the colors to make her beautiful. Muted designs don’t even dampen her look. She truly is a beauty in any color or in the absence thereof. Thirdly, not even black which could be a bit associated with gloom can dampen the light, the spark that you see in her. She is such a ball of sunshine if that is ever possible. Lastly, there is a semblance between Belle’s shoot and that of Donny’s.

The last point leads to a lot of questions. Have they conceptualized the shoots as such? Did Belle see how good was Donny’s shoot that she wanted to try? Did Donny suggest the concept? Are the concepts related to their next project? Are we overthinking? Is it just a coincidence? Whatever the answer is, one thing is sure. They both simply looked divine! Top tier looks!
