Or should I say, things I tell myself after Episode 8?
Pain Meter - It just occurred to me last night how we
look forward to every new episode. There is always a certain sense of apprehension,
though. One question always looms on our minds. Is this the episode where they
will be breaking up? I wondered why we do that to ourselves always wondering
every Wednesday how painful is the episode tonight.
Today, I would like to put into words my glimmer of hope for the TagSen couple.
The Background Music: No kilig lines nor scenes shown in the teaser, but the faint music that I can hear in the background is “Best Time.” Could it be the best time of their lives if they are, indeed, experiencing heartbreak? Yes, I will hold on to the background music. Why is it not “Did I Let You Go?” which is a breakup song? I will also hold on to this song as part of the soundtrack. There is hope. Listening to the lyrics of “Kahit na, Kahit pa,” I hear some difficulties in the relationship of the persona, but there is also the assurance that they will still choose love. That love will transcend it all. Can I hold on to these?
The Precedent: My friend, Tricia,
who is a CV, once commented, they easily resolve every issue. The episode does
not end without Deib and Max patching things up if ever they have a
disagreement thru constant communication. I said the people watching will not
be able to rest easy for 7 days if there are any unresolved tension between the
TagSen couple. We’d all be bugging for a whole week, and that will just give
everyone a headache because we will storm the writers and probably rage through
Twitter. Whoever needs to be asked or nagged will never hear the end of it. Since
their love is strong, and they listen to each other, I will hold on to what I
notice in the past episodes. There will be some bumps ahead, but the TagSen
couple will be able to pull through.
Other Scenes: If the rain scene is included in Episode 9
which would probably be a tearjerker, I wonder about two others seen in the
trailer. For one, we haven’t watched that scene when Max is being comforted by RJ
and Deib arrives saying why run to him when he is the ex, and I am your boyfriend.
Remember that Deib refers to himself as the BF. We also have not witnessed that
scene when the gang runs through the hallways, and Deib carries Max. There
might be really sad scenes, but there are also different ones to prove that
they can find their way towards each other.
Whatever Happens: A lot of things can happen to the couple; there
will be hurt. There might be break-ups and whatnot. At the end of the day,
Donny and Belle will surely gain more acting experience out of playing Deib and
Max. Their improvement is really very noticeable and admirable. The range of
emotions they were able to make us feel through the screens are just so
believable and effective. They surely learned a lot from the experience of
being the TagSen couple. With that, I am so happy for both of them. If the viewers
are already feeling all the anxiety out of everything happening in the series,
how much did Donny and Belle have to hold just to bring us into Max and Deib’s
world?
I am happy for the fandom as we get treated to a really good show with good cinematography, good editing, riveting lines, and really good acting by Donny and Belle. We are so invested in this series because they can really draw us in and make us really concerned for Deib and Max. We see our High School selves being proud of what they have done in their maturing relationship. The young ones are taking a tip or two on relationships. We all try to grapple with all the emotions.
