Sorry if this post comes a week and three days
after Belle’s birthday. The truth is this is a draft for such a long time
because of many reasons which I might tell you sometime soon.
Bubblies waited with bated breaths to see Donny’s
greetings in Soc Med for our best girl. I sometimes wonder why the need when
they are together on her special day, and he can directly say “Happy Birthday”
to her. But no, of course, Bubblies want to see him flex Belle on her special
day. It is like waiting for Bar exam results or any board exams. When you know
it will happen anytime, you just can’t get a shut eye.
It took a long time, but it did happen in the
end, and Bubblies were awake for more than 24 hours already. Let us break down this Soc
Med greeting bit by bit. In general, the pics are never before seen and lurking
in his gallery for like a long time. I wonder how long it took for him to
decide which ones to share. As they said, it is Belle based on his POV, how he
sees her behind the scenes. The Belle we are not acquainted with, but surely very
much known to Donny.
The first pic is of the two of them probably waiting for rehearsal, or on a break from a meeting, and judging from the floor to ceiling glass window and the swivel computer chairs, it looks more like they are in an office than in a house. What we like about this shot: They are matching. The shoes are the same. The color themes are the same. They also look like they are just simply being themselves-goofing around.
The second pic is the concert rehearsal for “Daylight”. There are so many stories people are saying about this rehearsal. I will skip some part, and maybe one day, we can hear them talk about those stuff in their own time. Suffice it to say that huge evidence points to Donny’s involvement in Belle’s first concert. When he says he will support her every step of the way, he means it, and he walks the talk. The documentary of the Daylight Concert is one proof. He was there since Day 1. The preparations started in December, and it was so noticeable how tired he was with promoting LICB, rehearsing for the Christmas Special, doing the HIH Extras, doing the HIH Season 2 Teaser, and the IwantTFC Unwrapped, and the other personal stuff in between that comes with the season. It looks like he was there to do every little thing. He was just a guest, but he memorized the notes to “For Your Eyes Only” because he thought it would be a good idea for him not just to sing but to also play the piano. It looks like it was Belle who suggested which song to play, and they were both excited to do this according to the concert director. The fact that Donny is missed by the director a day after the concert shows that he was constantly in the preps that his presence is highly felt. I also think he did more than what a guest should. He even helped coordinate the Ben and Ben guesting. I also once tweeted after watching the “DaylightConcert Exclusive Documentary 2” that Belle’s concert is very much his baby, too, because of the support he showed and the hard work he poured into it. I guess he posted this because it is Belle’s first concert, the dream of a young girl coming to life. Most of all, he was there to witness it, and made sure he helped every step of the way.
The third pic has everyone excited: Belle in a diving gear. For one, Belle admitted she is scared of deep waters especially if she cannot see the bottom, and if she tried doing diving, this has a lot of connotations. Belle must have trusted Donny well. I wonder for how long he tried to coax her that it would be alright. Most of us know that Belle confessed (at this time stamp: 6:53) in the “Four Sisters Before a Wedding” promo that she is scared of deep open waters especially if she cannot see the bottom floor. This is a milestone, since Donny wants to share what he enjoys with her. Her willingness to try scuba diving is also important because she wants to experience stuff he spends his time and effort, something that he yearns to do to help him get away from the conundrum of his routines. They also talked about this in their Magandang Buhay (at 0:58 timestamp) guesting. Some bubblies say, he was the one who bought Belle’s gear with Hannah’s help. The fourth
one is a video of Belle showing off her dance moves. Judging from her clothes,
and the look of the space they are in, it seems to be from the time they did
that powerful political ad. We see how lively she can be in between takes. She looks so cute.
The fifth
pic is of Belle looking out the night sky through the airplane window. This
could be their very first ever out of town flight together. They went to Cebu
for the campaign, and we saw how the whole family took care of Belle and even
their interactions. This was the flight on the way back home as they went to
Cebu in the morning and went back to Manila the next day at night.
The sixth pic is another one from Cebu. Sources say this is from the firing range. There is something about Donny taking back shots of Belle. This time with Ate Keia, too. We’ve still to discover the significance of this pic, maybe because Belle is not a gun enthusiast, but still came for support. Or maybe because they were able to also do some R and R in that Cebu trip.
The last
photo is that of her surprise birthday party. For one, it was Donny who was the
instigator, and he was the one who brought her to the restaurant. To pull this
off, Donny needed to coordinate with family and friends, and arrange schedules
to bring all these people under one roof for Belle. Her childhood best friend who
is currently living in Riyahd, Saudi Arabia based on that Lady’s Choice vid is also
in attendance; how did Donny manage that? I have some theories, but I think
everything will be unraveled soon. Let us hope these revelations will be upon
us in the near future. Here are things we can surmise
from this photo. It was a special night for both. Most people who are close to
Belle’s heart are there from family and friends. Secondly, the amount of
planning needed might not have been easy, but Donny had to think things through,
to be discreet and to be thorough in execution. With all these, one can only
conclude that Donny thinks the world of Belle, and she is important enough to
strive to give her this meticulously planned surprise. Someone said it was a
Donny and Tita Kat’s collaboration. This makes it more special. This means they
have a good relationship and works well together because they have one thing in
common; they both want to make Belle happy.
Let us save
the best for last. The greeting that says
For one, it
is in the superlative degree and that means he hopes this is the most joyful than the
19 other birthdays, I supposed. Lastly, he used that Tinker Belle icon instead
of using her name. It is after all the source of his nickname for her, and the one in Belle's IG.
They
say, Donny usually greets people through IG stories with the exception of a few
people, and well, Belle is one of them.
