Brace Yourself for More- He's Into Her Season 2 Midseason Trailer

New trailer is out, and what are we looking forward to, if any? Where to start? Are we excited, or are we fretful for 7 more episodes of our favorite weekly habit? Let us try to see what we can look forward to in the remaining 7 weeks(it means we have Max and Deib for a month and three weeks); the theme park exploration continues.

The Irony of Love: The thing that attracted you to the person can also be the one to irritate you in the long run or wield a sword between you. A truth that Naih realizes as she talks to Lee, but could be applicable to the relationship between Max and Deib. As Deib says, they both love their families fiercely and protect them. That common ground can bring them apart. Max being the champion of the underdogs that Deib find admirable will be the champion of Tito Boyet who is being framed as the perpetuator of the crime against Dale.

Compatible and Complimentary: Naih wants to know if they are compatible. We all know the answer to that. They have diverse interest, and the glue that keeps them together is that they each have qualities they appreciate. There is a difference between being compatible and being complimentary. Which one do you think is applicable to Max and Deib? Which one would you prefer in your own personal relationships? You are not asking me, but I dare say there should be a bit of both for the relationship to work.

A Love Triangle: I know what you will say-you are sick and tired of this, but there is also another one brewing among Naih-Lee-Ysay which we have seen in the previous trailer. This time Ysay seems to have at least hinted that she has a crush on Lee. I wonder if this is before or after the talk between the two secondary lovers.

Three scenes: There are three scenes that are from Episode 9: that confrontation when Deib finds out that Tito Boyet is involved in his brother’s shooting, that crying scene at the foot of his bed before his mom comforts him, and the convo between Dale and Michiko.

Dale and his girls: We get to see the first new face of the midseason- Shanaia Gomez playing Dom, the ghoster who left Dale and never even been to the hospital even in season 1, well same with the other girl. Anyhow, it seems like trouble, but it looks like Kuya Dale is set on having carrot cake on a regular basis by having his own personal baker if the scenes from the trailer is to be believed including the wheelchair adventure scene or that forehead kiss.

One Line from Daniel: There is only one segment and one line from Daniel Enrile, but it is the bomb that netizens want to pull his hair…ooppps, we are gonna lose that endeavor, so probably just have him carried by the wind to where he was staying in season 1. Fair enough? “Break it off with that girl.” A sword being stabbed on Deib’s heart and in the lives of many a Bubbly since the premier of this trailer. The question is “What will Deib say?” He is not one to answer back to his father not if he can help it, but he will defend Max and her family if he can like when he said Tito Boyet may not be a bad guy since he raised Max who has a pure heart from where this younger Enrile stands.

Dr. Daniel Enrile thinks Deib has not grown up. He thinks he is a 5 year old who can be cowered to fear into submission, not realizing that he can be his own young man. I want to know how this line was met. How did Deib stand up for Max? How did this affect their relationship?

The Break-up: We’ve been always talking about when the break-up will be, making us more stressed than we should be. It seems inevitable that it will happen and asking when does not mean it will make it any easier on anyone’s nerves. That scene about Max declaring her love despite not being trusted might be it, and it looks like they just nurtured the pain instead of trying to get over it. It looks like the break-up is so painful because there is still love, or there is so much love, but there are some things that are needed besides love in a relationship like what Deib says about trust. Let that be a reminder for us all that love may not be enough. It can help us transcend these things, but it still takes more than love for a relationship to last. And yes, the acting is on point, too. That line from RJ saying “Babalikan mo?” is a clue that there was indeed a break-up.

I wonder where they are in these scenes. They seem to be on a date or something.

The Battle of the Exes- Now, it seems they are on equal footing. We see Deib’s cocky self is back when he said, “Sisingit ka? Walang pila.” The bully is back to his old form. This time focused on trash talking Echavez to bits, so that whatever ounce of belief he has that he can get Max back will be just that-an ounce. Deib seems to be so sure that despite the rift or history between their families as the case may be, he still has a future with Max.

Deib’s lines-short and simple- even trended on Twitter. It was on point, effectively getting the message across with no frills, no fuss. Deib shows us once more he is an Alpha male. Like male peacocks proudly strutting their stuff, Deib shows off his feathers proudly and tells RJ to back off.

That Tension Amplified: That library scene, the egg decorating scene, and that scene with balloons and stuff show that there is something palpable between TagSen. This looks like they have broken up already since they look like they don’t know what to do. Better yet, they cannot seem to hide the fact that they’d like to reach out and kiss in the library or hug each other in the hallway. Anything but those can be done, though. In that snippet, Donny and Belle was able to communicate the longing and the awkwardness, letting us know that they are pretty much in love, but are preventing themselves from expressing it. The chemistry exhibited in Season 1 is now 1000x more in Season 2. Just when one thought it can’t get any better, Deib and Max has more to give. These clips does not have us hear any words, but there is no need to know what goes on. Is this the conflirtation teased by the head writer, Ms. Van, even before the season even started?

Friendship Pledge: We see group hugs being thrown around in several instances, but let us focus on the one that includes Max. The friends would like to assure her of their love and support as she goes through trying times in her family life and her love life. Surprising to see Lorde sticking to them as he is very loyal to Deib and the family as he knows them since they are young and he is a beneficiary of the Enrile’s generosity. He starts condemning Max and family in Epi 9. Could it be that Deib wants him to be his eyes and ears in Max’s circle? Lee seems to be standing by Max, too. Remember Deib once told Max that these guys have been close to him since Kinder and that they are his “ride or die.”

Flashing a Smile: We see Deib with a sweet smile, but his clothes are not fit for going to the ball, but it is noticeable that his usual necklace that has a D pendant, now has a ring in its place. Is that his promised ring? Is that Max’s ring returned to him, and he wants to keep it close to him at all times?

We see Maxpein all glammed up, a far cry from her usual uniform from The Barb or from school uniform and especially her collection of checkered polo and jeans especially in Season 1. Her hair is even curled. A usual feminine entrance of coming down the stairs to a waiting suitor or visitors. She is probably going to the homecoming ball, but we don’t know who awaits at the foot of the stairs. Is it her dad? Deib? RJ? Her friends?

Carry You: Deib literally sweeps Max off her feet. She carries her through the halls of their high school. There are other couples, but they are the only ones passing through that way. Deib looks like he is so happy carrying Max, bridal style, as she looks a bit shy, but nonetheless happy, too. Have they just reconciled not as friends but as more than that? Is this before or after the breakup?

The Ever Expanding Circle: Kim and her minions in a group hug with Naih, et al. - did we enter some Alternate Universe and made everyone friends after all the insults hurled at each other, both verbally and online? It seems that there is one big merger before the season ends. How will this happen? Who will initiate it? Will Kim be ready to be in the background?

The Lorde’s Prayer: It seems that while the two Alpha 3’s love life is crumbling, Lorde is on his way to winning over Chloe as the scenes show them holding hands or at least running together. It took so many episodes and jokes from his circle and jeers from hers, but it did pull through or start to lead somewhere.

Ysay’s Quotable Quote: “I hope you won’t let go of love without a fight.” Probably, something to remind her friends to fight for love.

Opening Quote: “Love is not Easy.” Like anything in life, love is hard. There are challenges, sometimes from within the couple or from people and circumstances around them.

Smooch: By that same car where their ill-fated love has been doomed, they seem to have reconciled and would be zeroing in on that smooch. Some fans are betting that something will stop this kiss like an approaching vehicle with bright lights or loud honk. Others wonder if Deib has another paper to use as he seems to be holding something. On the up side, if they are about to lip lock, that means there are more chances that they are together and not in splitsville for majority of the 7 episodes. The words in the background saying “Kapit lang” or “Hold on” further adds to the hope of them being successful in fighting for their love.

I wonder what theme park ride we will be on for the last 7 episodes. We will be in for a lot of emotions and surprises; as the trailer in the first part of this season was able to conceal more than it reveals, I am expecting the same for this mid-season trailer. What do you think of the trailer? Would love to hear from you. Commend down below, or on our FB page.
