From the newly released Episode 9 teaser:
There are more scenes revealed in this teaser this
time. Let us break it down:
Escape: For the first time, this teaser
starts off with the last scene of the previous episode. Max telling Deib to
escape presumably from school that day. In the deeper sense, Max wants to
escape the heavy burden and secret she currently carries. She actually wants to
break free from the guilt, from the reality that her secret could be a deal
breaker or at least disturb the peace.
It makes sense that they escape to a place of nature instead of going to a mall or any other public place because the guard won’t let them in because there is a law against it. But we see the couple in a heartwarming moment where they are carefree like two high schoolers should be- tickling, running around, and laughing without the pressures that an impending case could bring. One could only hope that they will have this memory to hold on to when the going gets tougher for them both. This scene reminds me of Donny and Belle running around somewhere in Antipolo-an off cam ayuda during LICB shooting era.
Kuya Dale speaks: For the first time since waking up, we finally hear Kuya Dale’s voice, and his first word seems to be “Michiko” while also holding her wrist to stop her from going. I wonder if there is a budding romance here somewhere. Michiko is happy and surprised to hear him again and confesses that Dale’s waking up made her change her perspective about the pain she is going through.
Disturbance of Peace: The scene shifts from Michiko visiting
Dale to him listening to his parents and the lawyer by his bedside. The lawyer
seems to have a lead as she shows the Enriles sanz Deib a tablet asking if they
recognize the person on the screen. Only Tita Evita has a reaction out of the
three. We can only guess that she sees Tito Boyet when we see the shock
registering all over her face.
Heightening Tempo: After Tita Evita’s reaction, we see
Atty. Echavez talking to someone on the cellphone with a shocked voice saying
why is his client suddenly the suspect. Then Deib gets a phone call from her
mom, and we are guessing what the news was because of how he is looking at Max
with that hurt and shaken expression. Then we hear those lines again where Max
professes her love, and Deib only responds with a very agitated, “you said no
lies, no secret.” That seems to be a heartbreaking scene. We are still not sure
if that is a break up scene, but it surely is something that is hurtful and can
hurt their relationship. What aggravates the feel of this scene is that they
are crying in the midst of the raging rain, in a dark secluded place. What can
be more dramatic than that for Taguro and Sensui?
Another Project?: The rest of the gang might have caught up with the staggering news about Tito Boyet and how this can affect the lovebirds prompting Naih to say that their love story can’t be ending here. This is typical Naih, a fierce and loyal supporter of Max. She will even be the first one to defend them against Kim who seemed to be breaking the two apart at the beginning of this season. The break-up, if it happens, will be a difficult time even for their friends. And if they can help it, they’d launch a project save TagSen. Remember how they worked on getting the friendship of Deib and Max on track in Season 1, and of course, the more recent “Project Save Deib” in Episode Three where viewers were in stitches at how their plans fanned out.
To some of us, Episode 9 might potentially be the heaviest. But the last scene in the teaser is promising as it tells us that the friends will try to rescue the relationship and that Deib can still come to his senses to fight for what they have, although, that will surely be a difficult ride for the TagSen couple and even for all of us.
