All eyes were on Donny and Belle during the Star Magic Sports Fest last Sunday, May 22, 2022. Bubblies eagerly anticipated the moment that they can have more time to see Donny and Belle in person. The fandom also wanted to show them their unwavering support from the screams to the banners dominating Araneta. Let us go over some of the moments that made us swoon, that made us push or shove our unsuspecting seatmate in the coliseum.

A Tale of Two Jerseys
Belle Mariano sure knows how to move that proverbial glass, and the result is just as effective. The jersey she wore does not have her name unlike the other muses, but Donny’s. She even took great care to make sure that we see it as she clears her hair from her back. The number does not escape our notice either; it is their birthdate! Remember our post about DonBelle Day?
As if that was not enough to have Bubblies tickled pink, she changed to a maroon jersey even before the game started. It took a while for this author to finally read what was written on the jersey. But make no mistake, that is a Brent jersey with a number 15 and Pangilinan on the back. Even Nylon and ABS-CBN News took notice. Of course, we are curious about a lot of things on this one, and some had made a lot of assumptions. One day, we will know if this was given to her a long time ago. Is it a replica because it fits her? This is done by some basketball gfs. They had jerseys made for themselves. Was this jersey a surprise, and someone sneaked the jersey to be given to Belle? From Donny’s reaction in a vid going around, Donny was surprised to see Belle wearing the jersey, and not only that, he swooned on the gesture, as well. The six-footer melting right before entering the hard court.
Bring you there
We know Donny likes taking care of the girls in his life. This vid surfaced and showed how he brought her to the bench even if Belle can do it all on her own. He wants to make sure that she is well taken cared off every step of the way. Some of us watching live missed this, but thankful that someone caught it on vid. The kilig was a bit belated, but nonetheless there.
Just for You
Bubblies are over the moon just when Donny gets to hold the ball. Never mind that he is just dribbling or just received it. It was something to scream about in anticipation of how he can shoot this straight to the hoop. But the support that matters the most to Donny is that from Belle. He looked at her first before shooting the first free throw. He also points a finger to her after he sank that same first free throw. No need to tell you that this is something ballplayers do to their significant other as if saying that this one is for you. Oopps, did I just say that?
On a side note: Donny was perfect from the free throw line. That is not an easy feat as most players would tell you.
You Are My Prize
My MVP
Not to be
left behind, Belle verbalized something we know all along. Donny nor his team
did not take home the top prize in the tournament, but Belle said we all know
who her MVP is. This seems to have taken our Best Boy by surprise as his
reaction says it all. Even when she was asked where she gets that energy while
vigorously cheering for the team, she instantly pointed to Donny with a “Sa Kanya.”
We like these answers because they are unexpected, not evasive like they are
wont to do. Remember those pumasok si direk or the Tito Boy’s halaman era?
Wipe Wipe
Donny rested on the bench-at first, a seat a part from Belle. After a few seconds, Donny decided to move towards Belle while drinking water. Belle took this opportunity to wipe his sweat from his arms not once, not twice, but thrice.
Hugs for free
Donny walked to where Belle is and waited for her to finish talking to someone. He stooped to give her a sweet little hug. The one that says it is done and all the other feels. You know the one that basketball players know about. Here are vids from fellow Bubblies of the hug from three different angles.
The Promise of the Future
Newly-released on soc med, but just as potent in the kilig meter is an exclusive interview of both after the Star Magic Sports Fest. We all know, though, that this is not the first time Belle witnessed Donny play. There is still much to swoon about here. They said that there will be more games to come, and they are both looking forward to it. Next year, Donny will not be the only one playing; Belle will be a part of the volleyball team, and get this, Donny can’t wait to cheer her on. Oh I know… I can see you smiling now.
Winners All
Donny's team did not bring home the plum, but the winners are Donny, Belle, and the Bubblies! Donny wants to stress in a tweet that what was important is that everyone had fun. Donny and Belle are the real winners as the Bubblies come from all points and prepared for the event. They acknowledge this in a TV Patrol Interview. They know that the Bubblies came in full force as they dance to the cheer, "Si Donny, Si Belle, Sa Bubblies ay panalo!" Donny also reiterates that he has the best cheerleader that is why he is a winner. The Bubblies also won. They were treated to seeing Donny and Belle in the flesh. To breath the same air as DonBelle was enough, and to show support to them. What more can we ask for when we have been also spoiled with kilig throughout the night. It was all so memorable as Donny and Belle took to insta to appreciate each other after the games.
